LEEE co-hosting on M6 : Winetasting OCTOBER 2003

Leee co-hosted a TV program on M6, mid-october; a selective crowd
of french Vips was invited and a jolly time was had by all. The program recorded
in Paris highlighted a selection of Bordeaux wines, Leee as 'chief wine taster' was up for the task!

Roma : august 2th - review Marina

Let me start by saying : 'we had a brill night!!'. The show was great, Leee was great and the audience LOUD. I arrived at the club at 8.30pm and Leee was already having dinner at the restaurant nearby. He was together with Paolo , my dear friend and one of the clubowners (see above) and we went over to say 'hi', he was really cute, especially when he knew I was Marina.

We got introduced to the guys and we moved to our table for dinner.

At midnight the disco was booming and the crowd massive, approximately an hour later , magic was in the air when Leee, Leroy and Algie came on stage. The massive crowd (1,500 and more) were going thru the roof. After the first couple of songs I moved closer to the stage and when Leee spotted me he asked me to sing along and pulled me on stage. Try to imagine Enzo's face (my husband) when he saw me dancing and singing with Leee. Enzo was (and still is ) a huge Imagination fan. Boy, what a show during 'Body Talk' hee hee! Leee also sang to an expecting mother 'Baby talks' and the crowd LOVED it.

After the gig we went to the private section of the club where we had a couple of glasses and a lot of fun with the guys. I have to say Leroy and Algie seemed to be over the moon and danced till the break of dawn with 2 lovely ladies. I took the opportunity to chat with Leee about his upcoming big concert in Puerto Cervo on the posh island of Sardinia and we also talked about my hero and his good pal Tony (Hadley)! Leee apparantly had fond memories about Sardinia and the incredible concert he and his band performed on a hot august evening 2 years ago. Well the tropical night (35°) continued and we had fun till about 4.00am when the club closed.

What an amazing person Leee is, he introduced me to everyone and I must that Max is an overwhelmingly nice person and a lot of fun to be with as our Algie and Leroy (crazyyyy!!)! Enzo and I left at 4.20am, Enzo had a terrific time and he finally had the chance to meet and talk to the great Leee John, needles to say he had a big smile on his face.

Paolo , probably italian's biggest Imagination fans took loads of pictures (see above) and also had a brill time!!

So what can I say but : THANK YOU LEEE, ALGIE (crazy man), LEROY AND LOVELY MAX!!

I really had the greatest of times and you were all fantastic.

Outside it was cloudy, rainy and cold like winter, but inside the Matrixx (Holland) the atmosphere was steaming hot. That's no surprise with the special guest of the Dance Night on May 23rd :

the supergroovalistical LEEE JOHN.

Together with his two dancers he really pumped up the volume. Of course loads of pretty ladies volunteered during the Body Talk routine (how does he stay that limber...?); we jumped and shouted it out on 'Passion' and did the polonium (polonaise) to 'Mighty Power of Love'.

Afterwards we drank beer and .... champagne (new ways, champagne stays).

A great evening, super audience, fantastic music and a magical singer!!!!

Leee John's BIRTHDAY BASH (Sunday June 23rd)

A birthday party was organised in famous Italian restaurant Ascanio (London) in honour of Leee's birthday.

The evening started out with some great Italian dishes selected by Leee. Among the invitees enjoying the pastries : Gina Smith, the band, Rikki (ex-background singer 'like it is' tour), Paul Bailey (dancer extraordinaire), Mark Uttley (Johnboy, webmanager), Steve Charalambous (friend/fan and cameraman), Fulvio (Mr. passion, from Italia 'feeling at home'), Andy Eddington (legendary fan and helping out Leee during 'Hot Mikado' run), Jessie (Leee's mum ), Mick (Andy' s pal and another great fan), the webteam (Kurt C. , Pat C.), Tony Deacon ('official photographer of Bognor tour' & fan) and some forty-plus other close friends and relatives.

After the 'stuffing', the party started with some great 'choons' taking us back and forth : from the golden era of disco, northern soul , britfunk, imagination classics. Singers Harmarni and Lorraine sang a bravura 'Happy Birthday' and Leee gave one of his famous speeches thanking everyone for the support and friendship thru the decades.

The movin' , groovin', hoppin' and bopping lasted to well over midnite and a lot of laughter and shouting went on till it was time to call it a day (or night).

We (webteam, Steve C., Gina and Fulvio) drove off at around 1.00 a.m. chatting about the past, present and future. The evening had been 'So good So right, full of Passion and a little bit of Magic!!!!!!!'

BUTLINS BOGNOR SHOWS 2002

Since May, Leee John & Imagination have been performing all around the UK. A great time was spent in the 'Butlins Resort Bognor'. Our photographer Tony Deacon (who quickly became 'the Official Imagination Photographer') made sure some sweaty pictures were shot. These are living proof of the Extra Exciting Energy going on 'On Stage' as well as 'Off Stage' .

Leee has surrounded himself by topnotch musicians and singers. Cornerstones Adam Pendse (Guitar, tour manager), Kofi Kari Kari (Percussion) & Harmarni (Leee's extra lung) are still there and are joined on stage by Gordon (Keyboards), Alexis (Bass) and Lorraine (Singing nigthingale) and Paul (Drums). Together they provide the venue with booming sounds of the past , swinging notes of the present and scintillating vibes of the futures.

Some of the songs performed : Flashback, Burnin' up, Music& Lights, Make your Mind up, Magic in you (scorching opener), Slippin' Slowly (from the upcoming album), In the Heat of the Night, .....Illusion. The newer material is well received to say the least, the response we're getting of old and new fans (young, old, whatever) is beyond expectation. Those who thought 'heard this, seen that', forget it, Leee is alive and His Imagination is still Up There with the best. 'Last Days of Summer?', NO the SUMMER IS EVERLASTING!!!!

DISCO NIGHT FEVER 2001

Leee accompanied by dancers Paul and Tony performed a set of 5 songs during the 'DISCO NIGHT FEVER' shows in Belgium.

It all started in Charlerloi before going to Luik and ended with a bang at the 'Forest National Venue' in Brussels.

Also on stage were George McRae ('Rock your Baby'), Gibson Brothers, Boney M. starring Bobby Farrell, Ottawan, Patrick Hernandez and some other funky disco legends.

With his usual gusto, Leee performed 'Flashback, Passion,Body Talk, Music and Lights and Illusion' in front of a crowd of 10, 000 shaking their hips and feeling the bubbles of the gigantic yacuzzi.

TAHITI 2001

Leee and his posse spent a truly hot couple of days in Tahiti.

Besides doing a scorching show and hosting a radio show, Leee also met with local royalty. In between work Leee had time to wander around and meet some of the local residents and enjoy the majestic scenery.

It is on this island that they recorded a promo clip for "Passion".
